Living a More Efficient Life and Saving $$
Beverly took a voluntary furlough from her work at the hospital due to COVID. She knew that she would be spending more time at home and wanted to take care of her health rather than risk the work environment.
She is a big supporter of the environment and climate change is on the forefront of her mind. Beverly knew that energy efficiency was a way she could reduce her carbon footprint. That’s when she called 4CORE for our energy efficiency services.
She had an old furnace from 1990 and replacing the furnace would have been cost prohibitive, something she could not afford on unemployment. After a comprehensive BPI audit it was determined that a new furnace was indeed the most effective way to save energy. Our energy efficiency program, CARE provided that new furnace at no charge.
As thanks for the efforts of 4CORE, Beverly went door-to-door to all her neighbors, handed them applications and told them to apply. There are now four neighbors who are getting comprehensive weatherization work done on their homes. Soon the whole Pagosa Springs neighborhood will be reducing their carbon footprint and saving on their utility bills!
Thank you to 4CORE board and staff! The staff was professional, kind and followed through with all that was offered. The work done in my home was professional, fast and those involved were respectful of me and my home.
